He has over 35 years experience in professional archaeology and specialist interests in Bronze and Iron Age Britain, prehistoric ceramics, geoarchaeology and the archaeology of the Trent catchment. He has been involved in preparation of the 2012 updated Agenda and Strategy, conversion of the Research Framework to an interactive digital resource and revision of The Archaeology of the East Midlands, published in 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator aligncenter has-css-opacity is-style-dots\" \/>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/researchframeworks.org\/emherf\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2022\/03\/vicky-1-edited.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3099\" width=\"202\" height=\"270\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\" id=\"victoria-owen\">Victoria Owen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Secretary (Core Management Team)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Vicky is a Project Manager with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorkarchaeology.co.uk\/\">York Archaeology<\/a> and a specialist in human bioarchaeology. She has been a member of the Core Management Team of the East Midlands Research Framework Steering Group since September 2018, working towards building and enhancing the digital platform that was launched successfully in October 2019. He joined the Core Management Team of the East Midlands Research Framework Steering Group in 2021, to act as the representative for CBA East Midlands and CBA South Midlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">X<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator aligncenter has-css-opacity is-style-dots\" \/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/researchframeworks.org\/emherf\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2022\/03\/Mark-Pearce-edited-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3098\" width=\"202\" height=\"270\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\" id=\"professor-mark-pearce\">Professor Mark Pearce&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Mark is currently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nottingham.ac.uk\/humanities\/departments\/classics-and-archaeology\/people\/mark.pearce\">Professor of Mediterranean Prehistory at the University of Nottingham<\/a>. As well as having an interest in early metallurgy in the Mediterranean, he also has a strong interest in the Bronze Age of the Trent Valley, where he has excavated. His other interests include the Bayesian modelling of radiocarbon dates and field survey techniques. Prior to that she worked for a variety of fieldwork contractors, mainly in the Midlands and East Anglia, and in development control in Lincolnshire. His focus lies in landscape archaeology, urban excavation, and infrastructure projects with a particular interest in Saxon and medieval sites. Jim has been supporting the East Midlands Research Framework  Steering Group as a Representative from the Commercial Sector since&nbsp;2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator aligncenter has-css-opacity is-style-dots\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Matthew Nicholas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Matthew Nicholas is one of Historic England&#8217;s Science Advisors. Science Advisors provide support and advice to local authorities determining planning applications affecting archaeological sites and the archaeological units carrying out these excavations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Matthew is based in the East Midlands, and his advice covers all aspects of the investigation and analysis of the historic environment to enhance its understanding and management.
