Once registered they are above to comment on all Frameworks; regardless of which Framework they originally registered from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Allowing comments on RFs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Users can now comment on all Frameworks across the network, but all comments need to be moderated by the regional team (where a regional team is not currently active, this will be done by the Framework team at Historic England or ScARF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ensure that any pages on your Framework which users may wish to comment on have comments enabled (you can see how to do this <a href=\"https:\/\/researchframeworks.org\/guide-to-the-rfn-for-moderators\/#section-10\">here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Managing comments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When comments are added to a page they will appear in the Dashboard and can be accessed via the <em>Comment<\/em> tab on the left-hand menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/researchframeworks.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-36-1024x310.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2401\"\/><figcaption>Comments can be previewed on the Comments tab<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the example above a comment has been written on the <em>Prehistory<\/em> page of the Framework.  The system records the username and email address of the comment author, a preview of the comment, which page it is related to and when it was submitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By rolling the cursor over the comment a menu of options will appear.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/researchframeworks.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-37.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2403\"\/><figcaption>Options for dealing with comments<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>You can choose to deal with a comment as necessary, depending on your workflow for comments. Previously approved comments can also be <em>unapproved<\/em> here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once approved, the comment will appear on the page where it was added, next to the paragraph which was commented on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/researchframeworks.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-38.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2404\"\/><figcaption>An expanded approved comment on the page<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To view a comment on a page, click on the small black speech bubble with a number in it to open the dialogue box.  Others can also respond to the comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/researchframeworks.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-39.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2405\"\/><figcaption>The number shows the amount of comments<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The image below shows a suggested workflow for dealing with comments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized is-style-default\"><a href=\"https:\/\/researchframeworks.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/RF-Comments-flowchart-1-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/researchframeworks.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/RF-Comments-flowchart-1-1024x281.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2411\" width=\"790\" height=\"216\"\/><\/a><figcaption>Dealing with comment workflow (click image to view full screen)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding additional admins\/editors to work on your Framework<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like to add users with admin or editing rights to your Framework, this is done in the Dashboard, by selecting the <em>Users<\/em> tab on the left hand menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clicking on <em>Users<\/em> will open a table of all the users for your site, their username, email and role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a new member click on <em>Add New<\/em> at the top of the page, or select <em>Add New<\/em> from the <em>Users<\/em> tab on the left hand menu.  The first option on the page is to add an existing member, if the person you wish to give Admin or Editing rights to is already a subscriber you can enter their email address here to find them, and then change their <em>Role<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are adding a completely new person, who is not yet registered, scroll down and enter their details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/researchframeworks.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-40-1024x449.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2408\"\/><figcaption>Enter required details and choose a role<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need to create a username (usually their first and last name), enter their email address, and choose the role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>Subscriber<\/em> &#8211; can only manage their own profile<\/li><li><em>Contributor<\/em> &#8211; can write and manage their own posts but cannot publish them<\/li><li><em>Author<\/em> &#8211; can publish and manage their own posts<\/li><li><em>Editor<\/em> &#8211; can publish and manage posts including the posts of other users<\/li><li><em>Administrator<\/em> &#8211; has access to all the administration features for the site<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding a user will automatically send that user an email informing them of their new role (which may go to their spam folder).  To avoid sending the email, tick the <em>Skip Confirmation email<\/em> box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How you deal with comments will depend on your workflow for reviewing your Research Framework, the diagram below is an example work flow diagram for this process.
