These terms are between users and/or contributors, the Research Framework Network and the owners of the individual Research Frameworks.
The Research Frameworks Network has been developed by Landward Research on behalf of Historic England (HE) and the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland. When discussing the RFN throughout this document the term ‘Research Framework Network’ or ‘RFN’ refers to these organisations.

This website is provided by the RFN on an “as is” basis. No warranties or representations of any kind expressed or implied are given in connection with this site or its content including the completeness or accuracy of any of its contents.

The RFN reserve the right to withdraw the website at any time and without prior warning, the Research Framework owners will endeavour to advise users of its website in advance of any withdrawal, whether such withdrawal is temporary or permanent.
The RFN website is released under a CC BY-SA licence. This applies to all content, designs, text, graphics, software compilations and source codes on this website with the exception of some images where rights holders have given the RFN permission under the provision they retain all copyright.
Unless you inform the RFN, before posting an image, that you would like this arrangement, your image will be posted under the CC BY-SA licence.
All text is released under CC BY-SA licence by default.
Please note: this licence grants the rights to reproduce, incorporate into collective works, to create and reproduce derivative works, to distribute copies of and display publicly with the same CC BY-SA licence. You may not offer or impose any terms on the works that alter or restrict the terms of this license. You must also keep intact all copyright notices for the work and give the original author/photographer/illustrator credit if the information is supplied within the RFN.
The RFN reserves the right to change or amend these Website Terms and Conditions without prior notice.

By completing the user registration process you agree that your participation in and any contribution to the website will be subject to these Terms and Conditions, and to the Privacy Policy.
You also confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
As stated above, all text contributions are automatically released under CC BY-SA Licence. You may limit release of images contributed by prior written agreement with the RFN.
All material must comply with the Rules of Acceptable Use, set out below.
The ability to comment/contribute on Research Frameworks is provided for the exchange of lawful, relevant, fair and appropriate information, opinions and comment. Use of the website that is inconsistent with those stated purposes is strictly prohibited.
Your use of the commenting facility and this website generally is subject to the following terms which, by signing up as a contributor, you are deemed to accept (and which amount to a non-exhaustive list of prohibited acts):
The RFN, and others that it designates, shall have the right (but not the obligation) at its sole discretion to refuse, remove or edit any content that is posted to, or available on, this website without the need to give any reasons for doing so.
If you object to the publication of any material placed on this website please let the RFN know by sending an appropriately worded email to rfadmin@researchframeworks.org, this will be reviewed and we will take whatever action we deem appropriate.
In order to contribute to the RFN you are required to register and provide certain information about yourself and where you do this you agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the registration form.
As part of the registration process you are asked to create a username (which will be publicly visible) and password.
You are fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password, and for all activities that occur through your account.
