The Worcestershire Research Framework is managed and maintained by the County Historic Environment Record and Advisory Service, Worcestershire\u2019s primary resource for archaeological and historic environment information and advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Worcestershire Research Framework is a developing resource which aims to promote both a richer understanding and appreciation of Worcestershire\u2019s diverse historic environment, including its built environment and landscape, and a higher level of protection of the historic environment, including through existing mechanisms such as planning and land management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Part of a national strategy to create a series of self-sustaining research frameworks for England, the Worcestershire Research Framework is for the benefit of professionals, communities and individuals, working with, or with an interest in, the historic environment of the County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As of March 2021, research questions related to four recent Worcestershire Projects have been incorporated. Each project aimed to promote a strategy to assess current understanding, within a local, regional and national context, identify gaps in knowledge and explore avenues and priorities for future research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Intended to promote cross-sector collaboration, it is our hope that moving forward, these pages will incorporate a comprehensive series of period-specific Resource Assessments, which provide updates on fieldwork and research undertaken, identifies key themes and questions still to be considered, and identifies key collaborators and stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
